2. Brazil

This country is not only the largest in South America, but it’s also home to many Lotto247 lottery players. If you’re from Brazil and you’ve chatted to us recently, comment and let us know below! If you win the lottery and decide to travel to this dream destination, then here’s everything you need to know.

What to do in Brazil

You have to stand at the base of the Christ the Redeemer statue and take a selfie! This iconic landmark started as an idea all the way back in 1850 but it wasn’t until decades later, in 1920 when a group petitioned to support the idea that it became a reality.

People around the world visit the country each year just to see this 38 metre UNESCO World Heritage site in person. While many people know that this statue has a permanent home in Brazil, not many know that it actually wasn’t made there. Christ the Redeemer was first made in France by the French sculptor Paul Landowski who created the statue in clay pieces. It was then shipped to Brazil where it was remade by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa and French engineer Albert Caquot who recreated it with reinforced concrete for stability and longevity.

After visiting the statue we recommend you work on your tan in Copacabana. This is the home of a 4 kilometre-long Balneario beach, which just so happens to be one of the most famous in the world. One of the most famous statues and beaches in the world in one trip? Sounds like the perfect Lotto247-inspired trip to us!

This is a fun drink that we recommend you enjoy while lounging on the white sandy beaches and soaking up the sun. If there is any drink that tastes like a vacation, it would have to be a caipirinha.
